Tourist Guide for French and English speaking tourist – Department of Tour Operation Responsibilities:

§ Introducing Thailand as one of representatives to tell its remarkable description of wonderful Thai history, fine Art, rich Culture, interesting Politic and Economic issues as well as to up-date its current situation and some other related information for French and English speaking tourists.

§ Escort the tourist to transfer from hotel to airport or vice versa or to visit the tourist attraction in Bangkok and other part of Thailand, depending on the chosen circuit package of private tour for half-day, full-day or several days.

§ Managing the tours independently and to deal with tourists of various nationalities, especially French and Canadian who are from different background and together with the officer as a team player.

§ Cooperating with the other services provider related to travel business like hotel, restaurant and cultural center.

§ Being responsible for the workload / working irregular hour depending upon the itinerary of clients.

Field Experience and Developing Country Volunteer Work:

a) September – December 2000 (3 months) – Nakorn Pathom, Thailand

Volunteered English teacher to disadvantaged students at grade 6 of elementary school of Phra-Ngam Temple, also visiting their family and studying their family relations, living conditions, especially social environment which often leads to problematic situation of society due to the lack of fund, education and equality in society, therefore appropriate education is the key to improve their quality of life.

b) December 1999 (2 weeks) – Nakorn Pathokm, Thailand

Volunteered French teacher to local people at Damnern Saduak Floating Market, due to the increase of French speaking tourists, local people needed to be taught the basic French skills to provide better services in order to earn more for their living and bring the higher standard of living, this programme was aimed to increase work force in local community and help them to be self-supporter.

c) October 1998 (2 weeks) – Chiang Rai, Thailand

Assisted a non-profit governmental organizer to educate disadvantaged hill tribes students at new remote area school and learn about their way of living, and their culture.

d) December 1997 (1 week) – Kanchanaburi, Thailand

Volunteered staff in helping people in rural area to build up the school, and to experience the realistic rural standard of living, particularly as the example of self-sufficient village because of their local intellectual and their simplicity

e) December 1996 (1 week) – Petchabul, Thailand

Experienced the National Conservation Forest in order to learn the value of forest to wild life: animals &plants and human being, and the importance of balance & non-balance environment which effecting the climate and influencing the natural phenomena.

Also to study European Culture, Art and History, Policy, to broader my view and to gain more experience in life long learning at the high developed foreign countries such Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

Period of Stay: Octobre 19 – Novembre 3, 2002

Purpose of visit: To study the cultrual similarity between Thailand and Loas as the neighbouring country which is from the South east asian origine as well as to discovery the other culture influenced by Buddhism.
